Guides:
Faroul and Gondolo are two guides and have a Triceratops.
Xavzaren hired River Mist and Flask of Wine, two Tabaxi also as guides to screw with Mirror Tree.
Inete is a human acolyte of Savras and has pointed us toward where we need to go.
Journal:
-Crawled into a tree utterly smashed and slept. Woke up next morning with a legendary hangover.
-Had to pay Faroul and Gondolo their guide money.
-The tabaxi guides found a giant snapping turtle and said it was worth a lot. I tried to beat them to the attack but missed with a blow dart.
-We killed the turtle and ate its meat. The Tabaxi kept the shell in exchange for a month servitude to the warlock.
-I slept the next night inside the old turtle shell. Those spirit thingys came out in the trees again that night.
-Paladin wants to catch the sprites. He did something to his sword and stuck it into the ground. This attracted them, and he tried to converse with one. They ran away. Probably didn’t like the look of him.
-Made it to Camp Vengeance. It was not a pretty sight. It is run by a guy called Niles Breakbone.
-Apparently paladins have a secret handshake, and the wizard is better at it than our paladin. The food is marginally decent.
-The paladin goes with the commander to try to heal the guys in the field hospital.
-The warlock tries to read the commander’s map, and then attempts to copy it over to his map.
-Further discussion with Breakbone leads me to believe he wants to use us as fodder. Apparently the undead are to the east, and there’s something magic to the west about a day’s journey. I’m terribly bored and don’t really pay much attention.
-The bunks were terrible, so I slept with Feathers that night.
-Woken up by fires being lit in the moat. The undead are coming across the river, and attempt to drag the boats under the water. The Warlock saves two of the boats with a spell by lifting them up in the air and moving them into the base. I snuck out of the base to check out what happened to the boats, but there was no sign of them downstream.
-Faroul and Gondolo left with the Triceratops. I negotiated with the tabaxi for use of Feathers to haul the turtle shell. They pay me 5 silver a day to haul their shell around.
-I think we’re going to head West to look for the magical golem or something.
-Our group is now to be known as Feather’s Fabulous Four.
